Aims:

To provide a free and confidential information and advice service.

Services provided:

  • Provide information and advice on a wide range of subjects
  • Welfare rights and appeals service
  • Money advice service to help with debts and income maximisation
  • Premises are wholly accessible but home visits can also be arranged
  • Information Point for Energy Advice and Information
  • The Centre can also offer a Counselling Service to clients who find it very difficult to cope with their problems.

Designated as an Alternative Office for the Department of Work and Pensions, which is helpful to their clients when applying for benefits and assisting with income maximisation.

opening hours:

Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm.

Additional information:

A large part of the advice centre clients are disabled, elderly or infirm and Bute Advice Centre specialise in assisting these categories.
