The Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust is a small charity with a long history of supporting families in the UK fashion and textile industry.

Founded in 1853 by a group of philanthropic textile merchants, FTCT supports children of those in the trade, who are coping with significant health, emotional, social or family difficulties.

By giving grants to meet their education and wellbeing needs, they aim to give them the best opportunity to thrive.

An FTCT grant is a financial donation that you don’t have to repay. It’s purpose is to fund an item for your child.

Grants start at £250 and can pay for an everyday item like a new school uniform or a specialist item like mobility equipment. It could also help with a household cost which impacts on your child’s life, like a broken washing machine or fridge.

To apply you must be:

  • The parent or full-time carer of a child aged between 0-18 years
  • Currently or recently employed with the last 9 years in the UK fashion and textile industry, for at least one year.
