WestMARC provides wheelchair services and other rehabilitation technology services such as prosthetics, environmental controls and gait analysis, to people in the following Health Boards.
- Greater Glasgow and Clyde
- Ayrshire and Arran
- Dumfries and Galloway
- Highland (Argyll & Bute only)
- Lanarkshire
- Forth Valley
maintenance and repairs:
All wheelchairs supplied by WestMARC remain the property of the NHS and will be maintained by WestMARC. If there is a problem with the wheelchair then a repair can be arranged at a location convenient to you by phoning WestMARC on 0844 811 3001.
Wheelchair and seating:
Telephone the Wheelchair Service between 8.45am – 4.15pm, Monday to Friday. The staff will arrange for one of their technicians to come out and repair the wheelchair within four working days at no cost. If you would prefer to bring the wheelchair to the Yoker site WestMARC would be happy to repair the wheelchair for you. This has the advantage of being quicker and they are more likely to have parts available. Confirm this by telephone before visiting if possible.
