Walking on Air (Gliding Club)

Promote gliding for disabled people

Aims:

  • To introduce as many disabled people as possible to the joys of un-powered flight
  • To train disabled pilots to fly solo
  • To aid disabled pilots in the purchase, modification and operation of their own single seat gliders.

Services provided:

There is a dual seat training glider with hand controls.
The organisation normally operate from their base at Portmoak, where the clubhouse has full wheelchair access, though they also go on expeditions to other gliding clubs.

Opening hours:

Operate on Fridays – weather permitting.
