To protect and promote both the professional and the employment interests of academic, academic-related and research staff in UK higher education.
Services provided:
The University and College Union (UCU) represents over 110,000 academics, lecturers, trainers, instructors, researchers, managers, administrators, computer staff, librarians and postgraduates in universities, colleges, prisons, adult education and training organisations across the UK.
A disabled members group, including an annual meeting, nominated members on Equal Opportunities Committee and an email network enabling disabled staff in higher education to log on and share their experiences has been set up.
