The Disabled Sailing Association

Gives people with a disability the opportunity to enjoy a safe and pleasurable experience of sailing

Aims:

To give people with a disability the opportunity to enjoy a safe and pleasurable experience of seagoing sailing, including short local cruising of about two to three hours and, for the more adventurous, longer coastal passages.

Services provided:

The Disabled Sailing Association currently have Disability Awareness-trained volunteer helpers, all with CRB clearance, working with their disabled members enabling people to participate as fully as possible in a seagoing, sailing experience.  Skippers and crew hold RYA qualifications or are working towrds them.

They are also encouraging and supporting their members and volunteers to take RYA training ranging from competent crew to Yachmaster.
