Summary – Streetwork is a homeless charity working in Edinburgh with a mission to enable a life off the streets. We support anyone in Edinburgh who is facing difficulties with their housing or who is already homeless.

Services provided:

We reach out to people who are at risk of homelessness and those who don’t have a safe and stable place to stay. We respond by working with each person individually, helping them identify their own goals and the support that can help. We help people resolve their homelessness situation: to find and keep a home. We know this can be a long road so we build relationships and help people to form strong, sustainable connections so that they can recover from homelessness.

Our support hub at Holyrood Road offers shower, laundry and storage facilities along with access to the internet, telephone and a correspondence address. A range of other services are offered at the support hub including health, housing, benefits advice, legal advice and employability services and we offer ongoing support to people. The Holyrood Hub is open from 7am to 10pm Monday to Friday, and 8am to 4pm at the weekend.

Our outreach work reaches out to people on the streets of Edinburgh, and to people who are visiting other agencies. We also provide outreach support to people who have found a home to settle into their homes and communities.

Streetwork focus on where people are most vulnerable and at risk – on the streets. They work with people on their own terms and at a pace that suits them to enable a life off the streets.
