We provide a range of support services that aim to improve the mental health and wellbeing of the residents of West Dunbartonshire.

Aims:

To focus on improving the emotional and mental well-being and social development of people living in West Dunbartonshire.

Stepping Stones Services

Our current services are listed below and available to all residents of West Dunbartonshire who are aged 16 years or older. Self-referrals are accepted.

  • Person Centred Counselling (1:1)
  • Peer Support Work (1:1)
  • General Mental Health Support Work (1:1)
  • Guided Self Help (1:1)
  • Social Groups
  • Walking Groups
  • Relaxation Classes
  • Tai Chi Classes
  • Bereavement and Loss Peer Support Group
  • Women’s Support Group
  • Self-Management Classes

Our services can be accessed in the following locations across West Dunbartonshire.

  • Clydebank Library
  • Clydebank Health and Care Centre
  • Ben View Resource Centre, Dumbarton
  • Riverside Church, Dumbarton
  • Vale Centre for Health and Care, Alexandria.

Once a referral is received, waiting times for an initial assessment to discuss the persons’ support is around 4-8 weeks. Each service has a waiting time that can vary between 3-6 months from referral, depending on the amount of referrals we receive. All services are free at the point of contact, although donations are accepted.

Monday – Thursday, 9.00am – 5.00pm and 5.00pm – 8pm
Friday, 9.00am – 4.00pm.
