Aims:

To improve support for young people leaving care, by sharing good practice, creating networks and influencing local and national developments.

Services provided:

Staf is a membership organisation open to all those who have Corporate Parenting responsibilities or who work directly with care leavers.  This includes local authorities, health boards, third and independent sector organisations, further education and higher education institutions, registered social landlords and other accommodation providers.

Their interaction with members allows them to keep up to date with current good practice and practice challenges, and gives them a direct link to frontline staff and management who are supporting young people leaving care.

They represent and champion the concerns and needs of local services at a national level and are secretariat of the Cross Party Group on Care Leavers.

Staf also works directly with young people transitioning from care, with opportunities to learn, participate and influence change.
