Spinal Research

Spinal Research is the UK's leading and most influential spinal cord repair charity

Aims:

Spinal Research is the UK’s leading charity funding medical research around the world to develop effective treatments for paralysis caused by spinal cord injury.

Services provided:

Every year 1,000 people in the UK and Ireland are paralysed following an injury to their spinal cord. There are currently over 50,000 people in the UK living with paralysis. Spinal Research raises money to fund research into spinal cord injury in order to develop effective clinical treatments. These therapies will hopefully help regain sensation, movement and vastly improve quality of life.

Spinal Research are determined to develop a UK Research Network of scientists and clinicians for spinal cord injury repair that will take research from the laboratory to the clinic, and change the lives of people affected by spinal cord injury.
