Aims:

  • To offer support and advice to affected individuals and their families
  • To bring about more public awareness of MPS and related diseases
  • To find, by means of research, a cure for the diseases.

 
services provided:

    • Out of hours support helpline 07712 653 258
    • Network of befrienders and a programme of regional events
    • Information and advice on health, welfare, education, adaptations and respite care
    • Regional clinics, information days and conferences including ten regional MPS clinics throughout the UK and information days and conferences in Scotland and Northern Ireland
    • Opportunities to fund research into effective treatments for MPS, Fabry and related diseases in the future
    • The Childhood Wood, an area planted and named in memory of those children who were born with and have died from MPS. Bereaved families are invited to plant a memorial tree in the wood.

Out of hours listening service 07712 653 258 (for members) is available Monday – Friday, 7.00am – 9.00am and 5.00pm – 10.00pm
Saturday and Sunday, 7.00am – 10.00pm.
