Snowdon Trust

A charity that supports disabled students by awarding grants for disability-related study costs

Services provided:

They are a charity that supports disabled students by awarding grants for disability-related study costs. These can be for equipment and essential study needs. They only give awards where funding cannot be met through other channels.

If you have an eligible disability and are in further or higher education or vocational training towards employment, you can apply to them for help with additional disability-related study costs that are not fully provided for you from available statutory funding.

You can apply for help with funding such things as:

  • Human support – sign language interpreters and people to take notes
  • Computer equipment
  • Adapted or additional accommodation
  • Travel costs
  • Mobility equipment
  • Other costs which relate solely to disability

They will not meet expenses that have to be borne by all students, such as tuition fees or standard living and accommodation costs.

Apply through the Financial Awards section on the website.
