Mission:
SignHealth is a campaigning organisation and will work to improve healthcare and achieve equal access for deaf people.
Services provided:
They have a range of projects, services and campaigns, all aimed at improving the health of Deaf people. Their work is varied and aims to give Deaf people easier access to healthcare and information, as well as providing services which are not provided elsewhere. Some of their work is funded on a case by case basis by the NHS, and some is funded entirely by grants from trusts, or by donations from people like you.
Main Projects:
- BSL Healthy Minds – Therapy for Deaf people with depression, anxiety or similar disorders
- DeafHope – Helps Deaf women and children who are suffering from domestic violence
- Advocacy
- InterpreterNow – An online interpreting service for those who are Deaf, deafened or hard of hearing
- Supported Living
- Campaigns.
