Description of service:
Shopmobility operates a scheme to lend, free of charge, manual wheelchairs and powered scooters. A companion service for people requiring assistance whilst shopping is also available. This helps people who have limited mobility or visual impairment to shop and use other town centre facilities.
Booking is recommended and training on the use of equipment may also be booked.
Cost:
The service is free, though donations are welcome.
Overnight and short term hires are available on request (charges apply)
Opening hours:
Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 4.30pm.
(Other times by arrangement).
Additional information:
There are two Shopmobility Schemes within Perth and Kinross. There is one in Perth which can be found in the Canal Street multi storey car park, which is entered from Canal Street by car (Parking is free to all Blue Badge holders) and one based in Pitlochry at Wilson’s of Pitlochry.
