Aims:

To promote and enforce the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Services provided:

  • Provide information and advice about the public right to access information held by Scottish public authorities
  • The Scottish Information Commissioner can receive appeals from anyone refused information by a Scottish public authority. He has the power to investigate appeals and to issue a decision.
