Previously know as:

Possil & Milton Forum on Disability as well as The Disability Community

Vision:

Possobilitie’s vision is a city where everyone is treated fairly and equally regardless of their impairments and where each person is supported and nurtured to fulfil his or her potential.

Services provided:

Youth and Children’s Work:  The overall aim of the Disability Community’s youth and children’s work is to support young disabled people to integrate into the wider community and to be as independent as they can be. The youth work programme has grown threefold in as many years and is an outstanding model of partnership working.

Out and About:  The Out and About initiative is a unique youth programme which empowers disabled young people to take part in a wide range of mainstream youth activities.

Cook ‘n’ Care:  Provides a first-class meals delivery and care service for vulnerable, elderly and disabled people in their own homes.

North Glasgow Steamie:   This new community laundry service has been especially designed for individuals with a disability and for older people looking for some extra help.

Personal Development:  At the moment they are running IT and computer classes, but will run classes in cookery, social skills, literacy, and a wide range of subjects and skills throughout the year as and when funding is available.
