Aims:
To create streets and public spaces that people on foot can use and enjoy.
Services provided:
- Helps individuals, community groups and local authorities take action to make their local communities walkable i.e. safe, attractive and accessible for people on foot
- Raises awareness of the importance of clean, safe and attractive public spaces for community life
- Promotes good practice through publications, events and the WalkFirst network of local authorities
- Empowers the public through advice and information
- Co-ordinates a network of volunteers who take action to improve their street environment
- Provide help and advice to people who are having problems due to dirty and dangerous environments.

Delivers projects working with older people and communities focuses on the pedestrian environment

Campaign on issues including footway parking and obstructed pavements
