Life After Strokes Grant

The Life After Stroke Recovery grant is a one-off payment of up to £300 from the Stroke Association

Purpose:

You may no longer be able to work after a stroke. A stroke may also mean an increase in living costs, for transport or adaptations to your home. 

The Life After Stroke Recovery grant is a one-off payment of up to £300 from the Stroke Association. It is a grant which you don’t have to pay back. 

The life after stroke grant is for long term benefit and can be used for the following:

  • Kitchen appliances
  • Beds and bedding
  • Armchair
  • Driving assessment
  • And much more

Their grants are means tested, so we will ask you for details about your finances.

how to apply

The application form must be completed on your behalf by a health or social care professional. This could be your occupational therapist, health visitor or through Citizens Advice Scotland.
