A new public body called Independent living Fund (ILF) Scotland has been set up following the UK Government’s decision to close the Independent Living Fund (ILF) on June 30 2015.

ILF Scotland currently supports over 3,000 disabled people across Scotland and Northern Ireland.  ILF funding specifically enables these individuals, with a range of impairments, to live their lives within the community and to exercise choice and control to live as independently as possible with the right support.

On 20th December 2017, ILF Scotland launched the Transition Fund. This fund offers short term grants to young disabled people aged 16-25, providing them with opportunities that facilitate their participation and inclusion within their communities, creating a lasting impact on their lives.
