Aims:
To provide holiday grants for people of good character, resident in Edinburgh, recovering from an illness, who have insufficient funds to afford a holiday themselves.
Services provided:
EMMS International manages the Hawthorn Brae Fund and provides grants for individuals or families, up to £300 per adult and £150 per child (usually to a maximum of £900 per family).
Grants will cover the actual costs of the holiday (i.e. travel, accommodation, food) and not spending money.
Payments are made to sponsoring agencies, which are currently: Waverley Care, Western General Hospital, and City of Edinburgh Council.
