ESU Scotland is an educational charity whose purpose, shared with the English-Speaking Union internationally, is to promote international understanding and human achievements through the widening use of the English language throughout the world.
They work closely with our fellow ESUs around the world on a wide variety of international programmes. At home they concentrate on developing speech and debate skills among young people; teaching English to non-native speakers; and offering training in communications skills to adults.
ESU also co-operate closely with other organisations in offering a range of cultural and educational programmes, and provide many opportunities for members to become involved as volunteers and helpers.
