Aims:

To provide free and confidential practical emotional support, information and advocacy to women, all members of the trans community, non-binary people and young people aged 12-18 in Edinburgh, East and Mid Lothian who have experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives, family, friends and partners workers in other agencies.  This includes rape, sexual assault, sexual abuse, childhood sexual abuse and commercial sexual exploitation.

  • Advocacy and crisis service
  • Complementary therapies
  • Long term support
  • Email support
  • Outreach support in East Lothian (ELSAS) and Midlothian (MSAS)
  • Face-to-face support
  • Group support
  • Prevention work
  • Training for organisations

additional information:

Area covered is Edinburgh and the Lothians, but individuals can contact the centre from throughout the UK. Deaf or hard of hearing impaired, support can be provided through minicom, via typetalk or they can arrange for a British Sign Language interpreter. A language interpreter can also be arranged.
