- To make sure that every person with a cavernoma and their family, has access to clear information about the illness.
- To provide information about others affected by cavernomas and to provide support.
services provided:
CA UK was established in 2005 by people affected by cavernomas to support those with the condition and their families/carers. The CAUK website provides information about cavernomas, its programmes and events as well as information about the the charity’s free membership. Along with its sister organisation, Angioma Alliance, based in Virginia, USA, and partner organisations around the world, CAUK also provides updates on research.
Local groups:
Local meetings throughout the UK which can be formal presentations by clinicians (CaverHubs), informal meetings (CaverCentres) or CaverCoffee mornings or CaverLunches. CAUK holds periodic meetings in both Glasgow and Edinburgh.
