Care Opinion Scotland provides a confidential way for patients to share their health and care experiences, good or bad, online. Comments are then passed to relevant staff who can respond or use the feedback to help change services.
Health services use Care Opinion in four main ways:
- To plan how to develop and improve services.
- To understand the choices that patients are making in their health and care services.
- To give doctors, nurses and managers a feel for what people are saying about the service they manage.
- The Care Quality Commission receives all published stories and uses them to improve services.
