Promoting the therapeutic value of dogs in Scotland

Aims:

  • To provide an educational service to promote responsible dog ownership in Scotland
  • To further the role and the care of dogs in Scotland with the help of Government, local authorities or other organisations

Services provided:

  • Research into the therapeutic value of animals (dogs especially)
  • Introduce a pet visiting service (Therapet) to homes, schools or individuals
  • Visits schools and provide talks to any interested community groups.

Cost:

Contact the organisation for details of membership for volunteers and supporters.

Therapet visits are provided by volunteers and are free to everyone. We do ask companies who would like a visit for staff health & wellbeing to make a small donation to our charity.

Publications:

“Children & Dogs” video available to Scottish schools. Other literature, including leaflets about our services, are also available on request.
