Aims:

To provide a point of contact for anyone who is feeling low, stressed or anxious, which is anonymous, confidential and very easy to access.

Services provided:

Breathing Space is a free, confidential phone-line, people (aged 16 or over) can call when they are feeling down. If a someone is feeling stressed about work or exams, or relationships or money – or just fed up for no specific reason, whatever their reason, they can call Breathing Space to talk things over.
The phone-line is open from six o’clock in the evening right up till two o’clock in the morning, Monday-Thursday and 24 hours at the weekend from 6.00pm on Friday until Monday at 6.00am. Breathing Space advisors will listen, and try to help prevent problems getting worse. They can offer advice and suggest local services which can help with specific problems. 

For BSL users, the service can be accessed via Contact Scotland- BSL interpretation service.
