Services provided:
Provide free and confidential welfare rights and money advice in order to help tenants of Blackwood properties to pay their rent.
The Advice service is free to all tenants. They use the charity Shelter Scotland to deliver the service. Advisors can visit you at home, meet you in the office or speak to you over the telephone. They can help you understand the benefits system, help you to manage debt and manage your money in the best way for you.
You can access the service directly by calling the Shelter Scotland helpdesk on 0808 800 4444 by telephone or you can ask your Housing Officer to refer you. The helpdesk is open 9-5 Monday to Friday.
