- To provide advice and information regarding HIV / AIDS prevention and treatment, sexual health and other related areas through their website
- To improve the quality of life for those already infected
- To work towards meeting the needs of communities such as schools
- To advocate to reduce stigma and improve access to treatment and enable people interested in AIDS to have access to informed and accurate information

- Information service accessible via phone or email for people requiring information about HIV and Aids (This is not an advice or counselling service)
- AIDS education Internet site suitable for use by all levels of general public
- Funding HIV./AIDS projects in areas such as South Africa, where the epidemic is particularly severe.

Booklets and leaflets on HIV / AIDS can only be downloaded from the AVERT website. Other resources such as quizzes can be downloaded too.
