Autism Understanding Scotland (AUScot) is a dynamic and proactive autistic-led organisation. Meaning all frontline staff are autistic autism professionals, many have previous professional experience in the classroom, and many are parents to autistic children. The lived-experience of our staff team have been highly appreciated by autistic service users as they can validate their own experiences. And valued by non-autistic family, supporters, and professionals working with autistic people, as they can provide a unique insight into what it is like to be autistic, and supports which help. We have no age limits on services.
Our Mission – Our mission is to empower and support autistic people, their families, carers, and professionals who support them, throughout the lifespan.
Our Vision – A world where autistic people are valued and respected, and can live happy, healthy lives free from prejudice and discrimination.
