- The authority can act quickly to have a misleading or offensive advertisement changed or withdrawn
- Deals with complaints about advertisements that do not meet the guidelines
- Through the Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) Copy Advice Team, advertisers are able to get pre-publication advice on non-broadcast advertising issues to help prevent problems arising.
