Access Care Team

Advice and information on self directed support for people living in Moray

Services provided:

All initial community care enquiries from the public will be channelled through the  Access Care Team for Community Care at Moray Council.

Calls to the single number 01343 563 999 will be answered by one of the experienced frontline advisors who have a wide knowledge of all aspects of community care. They will be able to offer key information and advice about the best ways in which an individual’s care needs could be met.

An initial screening assessment can be provided over the phone which is aimed at resolving lower level care needs as quickly as possible. This could be through signposting to a voluntary sector or community based service, or through services provided by Community Care to support peoples’ independence, such as telecare including the community alarm, occupational therapy, care at home, day services, equipment and adaptations.

There is also an opportunity for people to make an appointment to see a member of the Access Team to discuss matters face-to-face.

Community care enquiries can continue to be made at the council access points in Buckie, Elgin, Forres and Keith.

Opening hours:

Monday – Friday, 8.45m – 5.00pm.
