Orkney Citizens Advice Bureau is independent, and offers free and confidential advice as well as information on a large range of subjects, and is open to everyone who lives or works in Orkney.

Services provided:

Orkney CAB can help you in lots of different ways. They give free, confidential, impartial and independent advice on a wide range of subjects, including:

  • Debt and money advice
  • Benefits – working out entitlements and sorting out problems
  • Consumer issues, such as consumer debt and faulty goods
  • Housing, including homelessness and mortgage arrears
  • Neighbour problems
  • Family and personal problems
  • Relationship and separation
  • Legal matters, including evictions, small claims and actions to recover debt
  • Employment issues like the national minimum wage or unfair dismissal from work
  • Immigration and seeking asylum.

Opening hours:

Orkney CAB operates an appointments only service. You can make an appointment to see an Adviser by contacting the Bureau’s reception either in person or by telephone (01856 875266).

Hours are Monday – Friday, 10.00am – 2.00pm
