Description of service:
The Learning Disability website aims to provide information, education, resources, advocacy and services for those working with adults with learning disabilities. Their service is for those who have an active interest in promoting equality of opportunity and social inclusion for people with learning disabilities.
Learning Disability has links to sites, charities and organisations that provide information and support for those with learning disabilities. They also have links to important legislation and government departments that create and implement the social framework in which social care professionals must work.
Learning Disability offers training events, courses and consultancy services to anyone involved in the care or support of people with learning disabilities. Their courses are designed to bring competence to the practice setting and to benefit the service user.
Learning Disability is happy to provide links to agencies, charities and organisations that support people with learning disabilities and those who work with them in Scotland.
