The Footsteps Centre

Rehabilitation for children and young adults with neurological disorders

Services provided:

The Footsteps therapy programme is unique to the UK, offering specialist intensive rehabilitation for children and young adults with neurological disorders. Footsteps support children with a range of neuromotor delays including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, undiagnosed disorders, and other genetic conditions. The therapy programme is tailored to the individual needs of each child and aims to help disabled children to increase their physical mobility, improve their confidence and independence and maximise their full potential.

The Footsteps therapy programme is not available on the NHS, which may therefore financially inhibit some patients to enjoy this life changing therapy. The Footsteps Foundation is therefore in place to provide the necessary financial assistance to those who may otherwise not be able to afford the Footsteps programme. Since its inception, the Foundation is actively working to raise the necessary funds, though continued financial contributions from the public are required to ensure that, all those who need the therapy, can enjoy full access without financial restraints.
