Service provided:
Riverview offers respite to adults between the ages of 18 and 65 who have a disability. They provide a short breaks service which tends to be Monday to Friday or Friday to Monday with longer breaks for holidays etc. available on request.
The atmosphere at Riverview, is welcoming with staff ensuring that the people they support receive an individual personalised service. They provide a varied indoor and outdoor activities programme including going to the local pub, visiting the cinema, theme nights, music workshops, going for scenic walks, relaxation and there is also a sensory room. They have their our own wheelchair adapted vehicle which helps people get to the places they want to visit.
People who use Riverview are supported by an experienced and trained staff team. There are 10 respite places available. A referral is required from agencies such as the Social work department and family support services etc.
