Scottish Cot Death Trust

Funds research and parent support for families experiencing cot death

AIMS:

To fund research into the cause(s) of cot death and to extend support to bereaved families.

SERVICES PROVIDED:

  • Provision of breathing monitors to all infants born into a family that has suffered cot death
  • Educate the public and health professionals about cot death and ways of reducing the risks
  • Support for bereaved families. Can also arrange a befriender, who is a parent who has suffered a similar tragedy
  • Counselling
  • Family days
  • Home visits from Community Services Nurse.


MEMBERSHIP/COSTS:

Not applicable, though donations are welcome.

OPENING HOURS:

Monday - Thursday, 9.00am - 5.00pm
Friday, 9.00am - 4.00pm.
