1.2 Other reasons for using styles

There are several other good reasons for using Styles to structure a document:

  • You can make global changes to the layout and look of your information. For example if you want to change the styles font from a serif font to a non-serif font you can do so for every word in that particular style with a single key stroke.
  • You can save time in proofing-reading a document.
  • You can achieve a uniform layout throughout your document.
