Volunteer Commitment

Image representing our commitment to volunteers. It shows two hands in a handshake

To widen our volunteer base and show our commitment to putting volunteers at the heart of our organisation, each opportunity will be presented with:

  • a role description outlining key tasks
  • key skills needed for volunteers to easily self-match to opportunities
  • comprehensive onboarding documentation tailored to the individual
  • training plan
  • regular feedback and review sessions
  • assigned mentor

We will reward our volunteers by providing wider training and development opportunities, involvement in the wider work of the charity, social events and make the volunteer experience a positive, friendly, and meaningful journey.

We will promote volunteering with case studies, and event days where volunteers are celebrated for their contribution to our service users and staff.

We want to attract volunteers with a wide range of skills, knowledge and experience who want to make a difference.

We know that with a small team it is challenging bringing on new volunteers, but we are committed to dedicating the time and resources necessary to make volunteering a success and at the heart of what we do.
