- That people with acquired brain injury have early access to good quality local, specialist rehabilitation and follow up services in the community if they are needed.
- That people with brain injury and their carers have access to all the information they need about brain injury.
- That people who work in the field of ABI are supported on a local and national basis and have access to networks and educational resources.
- That organisations working in the field of ABI join forces on issues to raise awareness and improve services.
Their vision is:
To fulfil this role they have a campaigning function. They also provide educational opportunities through their annual conferences and workshops; attend and exhibit at relevant Brain Injury Conferences; use our Website and Social Media to raise awareness of acquired brain injury; produce information and networking opportunities for our members; use the Media to raise awareness and aim to influence policy and commissioning.
They also work hard to support and nurture the network of regional groups around the country. The groups meet regularly to offer networking events and to support ABI services in their area. You can see a full list of the groups on their Regional Groups section.
