Strictly Seniors Advocacy Service

A free advocacy for older people who find it difficult to have their voice heard

Services provided:

Strictly Seniors Advocacy Service is a free service for older people who find it difficult, at times, to have their voice heard about situations, decisions or actions that affect their lives.

Advocacy is a way to safeguard a person’s human rights, which are protected by law.

A person may feel more vulnerable or lack confidence due to things like (but not limited to):

  • a change of accommodation
  • bereavement
  • diagnosis of long term or terminal condition
  • worsening health conditions
  • social isolation

In these circumstances everyone needs some level of extra support and encouragement from friends, family and professionals.

To be eligible for the Strictly Seniors Advocacy Service, you must be 55 years of age or above, live in South Ayrshire and have full mental capacity.
