Aims:

PAPYRUS is committed to the prevention of young suicide, and the promotion of sound mental health and emotional well being.

Services provided:

  • HOPEline UK offers professional help, advice and support to young people and the parents, carers, teachers, professionals and friends of young people at risk of suicide (0800 068 4141)
  • Provide assistance to parents and others, in a caring or professional role, in supporting vulnerable young people
  • Promoting the inclusion of mental health education in the school curriculum
  • Providing useful information for the parents / carers of suicidal young people
  • Promoting public awareness
  • Encouraging and / or taking part in research into suicide prevention
  • Being represented in policy making at all levels
  • Co-operating, as an organisation, with professional and voluntary bodies working in the suicide prevention field.

Opening hours:

Helpline hours: Monday – Friday, 10.00am – 10.00pm
Saturday and Sunday, 2.00pm – 10.00pm and
Bank Holidays, 2.00pm – 5.00pm.
