Improving the quality of life of people who have Aspergers Syndrome or High Functioning Autism

Aims:

To improve the quality of life of individuals having Asperger’s Syndrome and High Functioning Autism who are sixteen and over living in Edinburgh, the Lothians and the Borders.

Services provided:

  • Safe, understanding environment for adults with Aspergers Syndrome or High Functioning Autism
  • Advice and support regarding the diagnosis process
  • Person centred planning
  • Social skills advice and training
  • One to one support to discuss topics such as; Employment, Benefits, Housing
  • Use of Asperger’s specific library
  • Internet access
  • Support to access statutory services
  • Specialised training programmes for individuals or organisations
  • Living Life to the Full – 8 week programme to help deal with anxiety and/or low mood

  • Late Diagnosis Group – 8 week programme for people that would like to know more about the condition

  • Drop-in facility

  • Regular social groups and activities.

Opening hours:

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 2.00pm – 8.00pm.
Wednesday, 10.00am – 6.00pm
Friday, 2.00pm – 5.00pm.

1st, 2nd and 3rd Saturday, 10.00am – 4.00pm.
