Aims:

To develop and promote new ideas for the treatment, care and support for cancer patients and their families.

Services provided:

  • Funding of patient care initiatives (Macmillan nurses, doctors and other health professionals)
  • Professional education
  • Provision of buildings for both patients and their families
  • Developing new and supporting existing cancer centres
  • Information provision

  • Provision of patient grants
  • Benefits advice service in some areas
  • Supports patient and public involvement in service planning, development and evaluation.
