Provide services for children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Condition

Aims:

Lothian Autistic Society (LAS) is committed to meaningful participation and choice in all aspects of life for children and young people on the autism spectrum and their families. LAS aims to accomplish its ongoing mission through close collaboration with a successful network of members and supporters.

Services provided:

  • Autism specific play schemes in Edinburgh and West Lothian* for children and young people aged 5-18

  • Saturday Clubs running in Edinburgh and Livingston*

  • Basecamp 2 – a programme of individual personal development and social club, currently offered in Edinburgh and West Lothian (runs for 26 weeks)

  • Flexible Respite service, offered in partnership with VOCAL Carer’s Centre (available in Edinburgh and Midlothian during 2017/18)

  • Information sharing and signposting for parents, carers and professionals

  • Training for professionals in Autism Awareness and Managing Challenging Behaviour
