To provide a confidential and independent listening ear to anyone who feels they have been harmed by electric shock treatment, their relatives, carers, friends or advocates.
- Operate a helpline which can be accessed Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 11.00am

- Offer confidential support and information for people undergoing Electric Shock Treatment, or for people who feel that they have been harmed by the treatment
- Campaign for changes in the present administration of E.C.T., in order to safeguard individual human and civil rights.
An information booklet entitled Shock: The Things You Need to Know Before Having Shock Treatment is available from ECT Anonymous. A donation of £2.50 would be appreciated to cover the costs involved. (includes postage).
