Phone us on

Aims:

  • To provide reliable, up to date and appropriate information and advice to Carers.
  • To provide practical and emotional support to Carers.
  • To ensure Carers have an opportunity to make their views known in planning and decision making processes.
  • To raise awareness of the needs of Carers and the contribution they make.
  • To encourage professionals and other groups and organisations to work together to be aware of, and to promote the needs of Carers.

Services provided:

A drop-in service is available on

Monday to Friday 10am to 3pm so there is not always the need to make an appointment. However, if you do need to speak privately with a staff member, it may be best to call first. You don’t need to have a specific question or problem to see them, just drop in for a chat and a cuppa!

If you have issues with access, i.e. cannot use stairs, they can offer appointments in their ground floor room in Dumfries. In other areas, they can arrange a suitable convenient location to meet with you.

The Carers Centre service is provided throughout the region and they have Carers Support Workers based in Wigtownshire, the Stewartry, Upper Nithsdale and Annandale & Eskdale.
