To ensure that individuals do not suffer through ignorance of their rights and responsibilities or of the services available; or through an inability to express their needs effectively and equally to exercise a responsible influence on the development of social policies and services, both locally and nationally.
- Provide free, confidential and impartial advice and information in areas such as debt, employment, welfare benefits, housing, citizen rights, family, personal and consumer.
- In addition to the frontline service, there is a representation service for clients at benefit and employment tribunals and court representation related to housing cases.
- Macmillan Project – specialised advice for anyone affected by cancer.
