To help people with disabilities and their families to obtain information about their legal entitlements.
Services provided:
The Disability Law Service (DLS) is a free, confidential legal advice and casework service for disabled people, their enablers, carers and families.
- Provide legal advice through an advice line
- Representation: where appropriate Disability Law Service solicitors will intervene to represent a disabled person
- Will initiate legal proceedings where appropriate
- Can offer advice on local authority provisions, community care, further and higher education, employment, discrimination and consumer / contract.

The Advice Line can be accessed Monday – Friday, 10.00am – 1.00pm and 2.00pm – 5.00pm.
