Deafax’s vision is a world where deaf children, young people and adults acquire the necessary information to enable them to participate fully in everyday life.
Deafax delivers training courses to deaf people of all age. The courses can be tailored to suit the learning levels and abilities of the individual groups. Topics covered include:
- SRE (Sex and Relationship Education)
- Visual Music Modules
- PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education)
- Steps to Employment
Deafax also deliver specialist sexual health educational workshops, also covering basic deaf awareness, to teachers, parents and healthcare professions to help them understand and recognise issues related to SRE and to demonstrate best practices of delivering sexual health information and how to adapt services and materials to ensure deaf people can be included.

Work is project based and Deafax is currently funded to run free sexual health training for deaf young children and their parents and teachers in Scotland.
