Services provided:

CLAN Cancer Support is an independent, local charity which provides emotional and practical support to people affected by cancer, their family, supporters and friends. Services are freely offered to all from pre-diagnosis and diagnosis through treatment and beyond. CLAN aims to support people to reduce anxiety, stress and to increase their ability to cope with the effects of a serious illness.

Based in Aberdeen, the charity covers the whole of north-east Scotland, Moray, Orkney and Shetland through a network of 11 community based wellbeing and support centres.

Services provided across all of CLAN’s bases include counselling and a range of wellbeing services such as advice on nutrition and exercise; advice on conditions arising as a result of cancer treatment and surgery such as hair loss, scarring and tissue damage; emotional support; and practical support, complemented by a range of therapies such as reflexology, aromatherapy and massage, aimed at the management of pain and stress.
